Healthy Pupils Capital Fund Investment Strategy

Swindon has been allocated £104,028 as its share to invest in capital projects for Local Authority maintained schools.

Background

£100m of revenue generated from the Soft Drinks Industry Levy will be provided in 2018-19 for the Healthy Pupils Capital Fund. This fund is intended to improve children's and young people's physical and mental health by improving and and increasing availability to facilities for physical activity, healthy eating, mental health and wellbeing and medical conditions.

Swindon has been allocated £104,028 as its share to invest in capital projects for Local Authority maintained schools (VA and Academy Schools have the opportunity to receive their funding allocation directly).

Submission of feedback to the consultation

It is important that all stakeholders and other interested parties are given the opportunity to express their views in order for the Local Authority to consider these before making a final decision. The consultation period will begin Monday 5th November 2018 and ends on Friday, 14th December 2018. The purpose of this document is to provide you with information and to give you the opportunity to express your views.
